Coronavirus latest guidance
There are currently no legal restrictions in place that affect walking. Ramblers group walks and volunteering activities can take place, with no legal limit on the number of participants.
For more detailed information on staying safe in relation to Covid-19, read the latest government guidance for England, Scotland and Wales.
Here are top tips for walking groups to consider whilst there is still a risk of Covid-19 infections, however low that risk is:
Limit the number of people on your walk to a size with which you feel comfortable.
Remind everyone that should they develop Covid-19 symptoms, they should follow the relevant government guidance.
Remember that everyone has different circumstances. Some people may prefer to maintain physical distancing, not to share transport or attend indoor events.
Whenever you’re out and about, have fun, keep safe and be considerate to fellow walkers. Always follow the Countryside Code in England and Wales.
